Ploughing must commence not later than December 9, 1878, and the whole work must be completed not later than Feb. 28, 1879, or 10 per cent of value , of work done will be forfeited. Contract tor No 2 Portion. 1000 ACRES of Clover Land to ho twice Ploughed. Fiest Ploughing to be thin furrowed, to commence not later thah March 1, 1879, and to be finished not later than April 15, 1879. Sbcokd PIOVUHING, not Icbb than live inches deep, to commence on April 15, and to be finished not later than June 1, 1879, or 10 per cent of work done will bo forfeited and contract terminated and re-let. All Furrows m Contracts Nos 1 and 2 must be clean cut and well turned over. Only Double-furrow Ploughs must be used. The whole of the work must be done to the satifaction of Mr Cawkwell, who will point out the ground to tenderers, The proprietor will provide Harrows, together with free pasture for throe horses ior each double-furrow plough or net of harrows used ; one extra horse to each team of three wll be allowed to run at grass free ; grazing of every horse beyond that allowance will be charged for. Chaffed oaten hay, if necessary, will be supplied after harvest, within three miles of the ground, at £5 per ton, contractors finding bags. Oats, maize, or bran will be delivered at the Pakopako LandiDg, on the Thameß River, near the ground, at Auckland wholesale prices, m quantities of not lesa than oue ton, with 30s per ton added for river carriage. Mutton supplied at 3d per lb by the carcase. Sevenly-five per cent of value of work done will b« paid as the work proceed?, balance at finish.
