Sib,— l wish to call the attention of the Borough Authorities to a great nuisance existing m the main street, on the West of the river. I allude to the gorse fence round the acre occupied by the Wesleyan Chapel. In places, it protrudes four feet over the footpath, and, at night, is particularly unpleasant, if approached hurriedly. Again, it is absolutely dangerous, as, if a lighted match happened to be carelessly thrown into it, who can tell where the blaze would end. The nuisance has been palpable enough for a long time, and the sooner it is remedied, the better.— l have, &c, A Burgess.
