The matter of chief interest to-day in Waikato,. will be the Cambridge Farmers Clubs' Annual Cattle Show. A large number of visitors arrived in Hamilton yesterday from Auckland, many proceeding on at Oi».ce to Cambridge, and others remaining till to-day, From Cambiidge we learn that the members of the committee are working mosb indefatigably to get the yards roady for the reception of stock, the exhibits of which will be more numerous than was at first supposed, a large number of late entries Jiaviug been received. The yards will thus be fully occupied, in fact, in the case of small cattle two will have to be placed in one pen. Late entries in ail the classes for horses have made the number of entries. in this class of stock reach to more than a hundred. ' Thus it will be seen that instead of the exhibits being fewer in number this year than lust, they will not only excel those of last year in excellence, but in number also. The members of committee are nuliu'ally jubilant, aud confidently predict not only a keen competition; but thafc the show' as a whole will' beat that of Auckland in all kinds of stock.
