Owing to press of matter, occasione by the lengthy report of the Cambridg Farmers' Club, we are obliged to hold over the usual Saturday's chapter from " Wife m Name Only," which we promise our lady readers will appear on the back page of the Times on Tuesday next. Thi Rev V. Lush, of the Thames, will conduct both services at St. Peter's, Hamilton, to-morrow. Presentation to Fatheb O'Reilly, op Cobomandbl.— The following is the text of an address about to be presented to the Rev Father O'Reilly, of Coromandel, by the inhabitants of that place, on his removal to the Thames :— " To the Rev Father O'Reilly : The inhabitants of Coromandel desire to express their heart* felt regret at your departure from their midst. During the period of your residence here, you have gained the good- will and respect of all with whom you have come m contact, by your uniform kindness, and by the gentle and unobtrusive manner m which you have so faithfully fulfilled your arduous duties. We beg that you will accept the chalice and the purse of sovereigns we present herewith, as a slight memento of our esteem. In conclusion, we wish you health, happiness, and success wherever your lot may be cast.— Signed on behalf of the subscribers," &c. Thb thoroughbred entire Sorcerer,, by Traducer, has been purchased by Mr G. McGregor, of Dunodin, for 500 guineas. One Down, Anothbb On.— lf the Hamilton public think that, having exhausted the Choral Society, their battle with the Arts, m the form of music, is over, they are very much mistaken. Another concert awaits them on Monday evening— one of the School Entertainments which have become deservedly popular m this district, and which, while aiming at the entertainment of the young, are really most enjoyable to children of an older growth. And m this fact perhaps — that they are less pretentious, that, aiming at smaller things, they come more nearly within the scope and powers of our amateur performers, and are, therefore, well done — lies the real secret of their success. Be this as it may, their popularity is now an accomplished fact, and the third entertainment of the series, which will conclude, we believe, with the' farce of L. S. D., will take place on Monday evening next, at million prices, at Le Quesne's Hall. Tenders for making a main drain at Tamahere, for Capt. .Tames Runciman, who will show intending contractors the line, will be received by Mr W. C. Breakall, until Friday, the 18th inst. Firing for prizes, by the Hamilton Contingent, will take place at the butts this morning. ' A meeting of the members of the Cambridge Magazine Club will bo held this afternoon, at the Public Library, Cambridge. Tendehs for additions to the Whatnwhata hotel will bo received by Mr T. TI, White, till noon of Monday next,

WhBT,KYA!J CIIUUCU IX WaIKATO. — The nsual quarterly meeting of the office bearers of the Wesloyan Church was held at the residence of Mr 1). C'aley, Mona Vale, on Tuesday, the Bth inst. The attendnnoo of members from the various parts of the circuit was better than usual. Tho meeting was presided over by the Rev. VV. J. Watkin, who reported an increase of -five members during the past quarter. The Financial Stewards, Messrs H Buttle and J. Gane, reported that, owing to various causes, principally the very many wet Sundays which had been experienced during the past two quarters, there had been a considerable falling off m the income of the circuit. After making tip the accounts of receipts and expenditure, it was found that there was a deficiency for the quarter of 4JIU, which; added to a similar amount due to th'e Stewards the previous quarter, leaves a debt of £38. Towards this amount, a kind friend gave £o, and the balance was assessed as follows : — v'ambridge to raise £10 ; Pukoriinu, £(> ; Hamilton, £2 ; Patera ngi, £2 ; Te Awamutu and Kihikihi, £2 ; loan from Hamilton Trust Fund, £10. Tho design of the building is treated according to what is generally termed the Greco-Italian style, and will have a frontago to Victoria street of 40 feet, uud to Hood street of 60 feet. The corner will form a quadrant of lo feet radius, which, when, viewed from about Gwynne's hotel, will give an appearance to the building of an unbroken facade exceeding 100 feet m length. The building will be two stories m height, besides the basement floor, which will be entered by an incline from the rear. The store, will be 45ft. by 30ft., the principal entrance to which will be at the corner of the two streets. Entries for the Show close on that day. Hamilton Chobal Society's Concebt. —The gross proceeds received on Wednesday night last from the concert amount te £20, which will go a long way, after the neceisary expenses are disbursed, m providing music required by the Society for its practices. It is, we believe, the intention of the members to hold another concert m about three months time, and, from the satisfactory character of the first one, the Society may fairly calculate on a very general support. It was certainly the best gut-up affair of the kind we have seen m Hamilton.
