AUCKLAND CATTLE MARKET.
MR. A. BUCKLAND'S WEEKLY BEPOBT. At the Haymarket, on Friday last, hides, unsound and inferior, brought from lid to 2£d; sound bides, 3d to 3§d the lb. Sheepskins, inferior, brought from Is lid to 3s; best quality, 4s 4d to os 3d each. —At Remuera, on October 10, dairy cows were m usual supply. Store cattle m full numbers, with a slight decline m values, excepting well-bred heifers, which jvere m active demand. Fat cattle: Prices were again lower, and valued from 25s to 32s the lOOlbs. Store sheep were m full numbers, and dull of sale. Fat sheep were m full supply, and last week b values—B3d for wethers m their wool; 2jd, shorn —were fairly sustained. Fat ainbs were m large numbers; inferior, rota 4s to 7s; good quality, 10s to 15s ach. ME3SBS HUNTER AND NOLAN S WEEKLY BErOBT. Horses.—There has been an improvement m the market, and there remains a demand for those of a good stamp. On, Friday, a large number were submitted by auction, and, with scarcely an exception, disposed of at prices satisfactory to vendors. We quote: Hacks, from £6 Is to £20 10s; iight harness horses, £17 10s to £23; medium draught, £28; draught, £42 15s. Cattle: '1 here is no noteworthy alteration m quotations. Dairy stock were plentiful. Sheep: A slight decline had to be submitted to by vendors. Lambs were m full supply, and brisk demand.
