We regret to learn that a serious accident (which, it is feared, may prove fatal) happened at 1 pm. on Tuesday to Mr W. G. Harp, and wife and child, as they were proceeding to Piako. The horßes became r'stivo going down a hill at Eureka, the seat of the vehicle pitched forward, and they were — all three — precipitated between the wheels and the horßOß' legs. Mr Harp, who was comparatively Bpeaking unhurt, drove home with all poßaible speed, and sent a man for Dr Waddingfcon, who arrived on Wednesday morning and examined the baby, which had its Bkull fractured. But little hope is entertained for its recovery. It waß a wonderful escape for Mr aud Mrs Harp. Great sympathy is expreseert for them
