AUCKLAND, last night. The Supreme Court criminal sessions opened to-day. Michael Butler, for causing the death of John Callagher at Drury was sentenced to two years. HAWERA, lust night. THE EAST COA&T MURDEK. •A telegram dated October 5, says : — The search party have returned, the' tr red Hiroki within a day and a-half's march of Ngatimaru. The tracks are four or five days old, and the search party thought it hopeless to overtake him as several tracks from Ngatimaru lead to tin' Eiag country where he now probably is. NEW PLYMOUTH, Friday. Mr iCoy, solicitor Of Ha wera, who went from here on Thursday by the mountain road, has telegraphed to a friend sayiug that he arrived safely, and J hat the report respecting hostile natives stopping Europeans is without foundation.
