A telegram from Waverley settlers states that they held a meeting to endorse the verdict of the jury, that the murder was committed by a Maori. They asked the xTative Minister to take steps to arrest the murderer, and to offer a reward. The Government sent, a telegram Inst night to Rewi To Wheoro and Major Scannell, and all officers on the line of country through which the murderer is likely to pa3s, with instructions to apprehend him if possible. 'PARLIAMENTARY. Sir George Grey has informed his supporters that the Government will willingly consult them as to fcueir policy, and will take an early opportunity of laying before the full Cabinet their as to the Bills to be dropped or pressed forward.
