THE NEW BRITAIN MASACKEES. [reuter's special calogram^ SYDNEY, September, 16. The following are further particnlars concerning the new Britain marsacre : — About Easter time fire of the Rev. Mr Brown's native teacher?, stationed at Malicola, m. cautiously left the coast, and went inland ten miles. The bush natives, who are hostile to the coast tribes, surrounded them, murdered, cooked, and ate them with barbarous ceremonies. A few days afterwards an expedition organised by Mr Brown, attacked and destroyed the native village, and killed 50 to 80 natives.
