THE NEW CALEDONIAN REVOLT.
SYDNEY, September 12. Arrived : H.M. s. Wolverene, from New Caledonia. She reports that the revolters attacked unsuccessfully the troops and friendly natives. Subsequently the troops attacked, and completely defeated the enemy, whose total loss m killed, wounded, and prisoners wjs 180. The rebel leaders Ataiand Batiste were killed.
