At the Haymarket, on Friday last, hides were in less supply thattj juual, and at ..la{e..«.*- flJ l» < «»-- 3<i * to-^tvr per IB ; best .sheepskins, 4s to 4s lid each.— At Remuera, to-day, dairy cattle were of moderate quality, and fairly enquired for; prices ranged from ,#7 to £$ each.,, >tore cattle : jwerefiu f ull-ixumljers ; 2pQ head "(mostly steers) sold ; bidding waif slow, ana prices rather low thjiu otherwise. Three-year-old steers ranged from £5 on to £6 10s ; eighteen- month to two-year-old steers, £3 12s (id to £4 <ss ; yearlings, £3 2s (id ; coarse bred three-year-old ' steers, £3 each; dry cows, £3 10s to £'} lUs ; calves, 30.i to 3-ss. Fat cattle were in moderate numbers ; 70 head yarded, generally of good quality; for moderate quality, 30b to 35s per lOOlbs; for choice quality, 3os to 40s per lOOlbs. Store sheep were in moderate numbers ; hoggetts brought 8s to Ids each. Fat sheep were short of requirements, and at higher values, 4d and od per lb in .some instances being given. A few lainba, the first of this season, brought 18s and 20s each. MESSES HUNTER AND NOLAN S WEEKLY REPORT. At Newmarket, oii Tuesday, the cattle market was tolerably active, .but uo marked alteration in value has lteen exhibited. We quo^":— Calves, from £2 to £3 os; yearliiigSto i eighteen-mbnth-olds, £2 las to £4 7s (id; dry' cows, £'4 10b to £5 los ; dairy bows, £7 10s to £10 7s(id; gi-owa steers, from £6 to £7 10s. There Avas a very good muster of sheep; stores were not of good quality, nor in brisk demand, but fat sheep were keenly competed for, and prices ruled in favor of vendors. Wethers sold afc from 2os to 28s 6; mixed sexesj from 17e 6d to : 2Bs Gd.
