SCAB.

Sir,— At a meeting /of -*thc Cambridge Farmers’ Club, held on the 12th August, Mr John Runciman is reported t* have said that he had my sheep .continually dipped, but they were never olfean. Such is not the truth. I bought'the ‘sheep in Februny, 1877, found one sdabby in March; and dipped them twice the same month, and on the sth April; Mr Runciman gave me a clean ■ certificate. This year, owing to a neighbour allowing his sheep to st> ay, mine again got infected. With reference to Mr . Maclean’s remarks / about publishing in the Times, I may say that I have seen his own sheep treated for I scab, and ho was not at all forward in publishing the fact of iheir being scabby, —I am, &c., Wm.
