THE NEW POST OFFICE.
Sie, The new Tost Office is -now open, but I cannot see that there is so much extra accommodation provided, at least as far as the public are concerned. Now, upon entering the office, one sees nothing but a window in front of him, and, upon knocking, the Postmaster opens the .ilide some few inches only, to do whatever business may be required of him. At other offices built upon the same principle, the windows are opened wide, thus giving the general public, ample room to do their business, whatever it may be. I would suggest to Mr Taylor that lie might do as other Postmasters dp, and give lis the baneiifc of all the available space for doing our busin.s* on. A woman or child, or many diffident men would wa'k out again, supposing the oSice to be closed for business.—-I am, kc, A Constant Visrrou. July 2Gth, 1878.
