' Waikato Times Office, Friday Evening. AUCKLAND CA'ITLE MARKET. MR ALFRED BTJCKLAND's WEEKLY REPORT. At Remuera, on Thursday, daily cows of good quality were freely competed for, and brought from £10 10s to £13 ; medium quality relatively dull of sale, selling at prices varying from £0 to £8. A large number of' steers, from 18 months to 2£ years old, sold indifferently well. Yearling steers, in low condition, brought 42s Gd to 7os ; 18-months to two-year-old steers, 80s to £5 10s; 2^-year-olds, in fresh condition, £6 17s 6d. Eat stock of all kinds advanced in price considerably ; 111 head of fat cattle, generally of good quality were yarded ; all sold freely at from 25s to 42s the lOOlbs., and prices rose as the sale proceeded. Sheep were yarded in larger numbers than of late; stores were dull of sale, particularly ewes, but fat sheep were better worth — about £d per lb. MESSRS HUNTER AND NOLAN'S WEEKLY REPORT. On Tuesday, there was a marked improvement both in the supply aim demand of cattle. We quote :— Dairy cows, £7 to £10 10s ; calves, £1 10s to £2 ; yearlings, £2 10s to £3 7s 6d ; grown steers, £5 los to £6 17s Gd ; inferior beef, 30s ; prime beef, 3os to 37s 6d. The Newmarket yards, on Tuesday, were well filled with sheep. The cargo ex Hauraki sold well. Best wethers, 19s 6d to 25s Gd ; mixed, 12s to 16s.
