To His Excellency the Most Honorable George Augustus, Constantino, Marquis of Normanby, Earl of Mulgrave, Viscount Hormanby and Baron Mu'grave, &o, &c, U.C.M.GK, and G-avernor of the Colony of New Zealand, &c, &c. The humble Memorial of the undersigned County Electors, severally of the Counties of Waipa, Piako. and Waikato, and of the several Hidings of Pukeknra, in .Waipa Connfy o£ Taotaoroa and Ptyfatere in Fiako County, of Cambridge at/d Tamahere, in Waikato County, shWeth : I That whereas your memorialists have experienced that the boundaries of the several Counties of which we aieelec-* tors, as they are defined by the First Schedule to the County Act, 1876, are inconvenient and unsuitable, and are such as to impede and uot to facilitate the bringing into operation and efficient workiug of the said Counties Act; and wheieaa the immediate welfare and prosperity of our several ridings would, be advanced and batter conserved if, being separated from the respective Ouunties of which they now form component parts, they were more closely bouud to&etner as the one local body under, the Counties Act referred to, Your memorialists therefore humbly pray that your Excellency will, in consideration of our petition, exercise the power vested in the Governor in Council under .Clause 14, part 2, of the Counties Act, 1876. and by Proclamation declare that the several Eidin«s of Pukeknra, in the Waipa County, Taotaoroa, and Patetere together with part of Mata* mata, in the Piako County, Cambridge, and Tamahere, in Waikato County, shall constitute a new Connty to bear the name of " Cambridge County," and with boundaries set forth in the map which your memorialists have appeuded to this their prayer, or with such other boundaries as your Excellency may think fit. Here follow the signatures as required by the Counties Act, 1876.
