The humble Memorial of the undersigned County Electors, severally of the Counties of Waipa, Piako. and Waikato, and of the several Kidings of Pukekura, in Waipa Counfy of Taotaoroa and Patetere in Piako County, of Cambridge jxnd Tamahere, in Waikato County, aieweth: That; whereas your memorialists have experienced that the boundaries of the several - t Counties of which we are electors, as, they are defined by the First Schedule to the County Act, 1876, are inconvenient and unsuitable, and are such as to impede and notto facilitate the bringing into operation and efficient working Of the said Counties Act; and whereas the immediate welfare and prosperity of our several ridings would be advanced and better conserved if, being separated from the respective Counties of which they now form component partß, they vrere more closely bound together as the one local body under the Counties Act referred to, r /r. pray that your Excellency will, in consideration of our petition, exerciee the power vested in the Governor in Council under Clause 14, part 2, of the Counties Act, 1876. and by Proclamation declare

that the several Hidings of Pukekura, in the "Waipa County, Taotaoroa, and Patetere together with part of Matamata, in the Piako County, Cambridge, and Tamahere, in Waikato County, shall constitute a new County to bear the name of " Cambridge County," and with boundaries set forth in the map which your memorialists have appended to this their prayer, or with such other boundaries as your Excellency may think lit. Here follow the signatures as required by the Counties Act, 1870.
