At Remuera, on Thursday, June 6, dairy cows, near calving, were m brisk demand; prices ranged from £9 to £12. Store cattle were more plentiful than usual, and young cattle of good quality advanced m price : fifteen - month - old steers averaged 80/ ; calves, 42/. Fat cattle were m less number than are usually penned ; prices ranged from 28/ to 35/,^ and averaged 32/, the lOOlbs. Sheep were m moderate number only ; prices ranged from J2\ to /2J per lbi Averages | obtained were : 15 head, H. Knpx, £11 3/6; 30 head, Westney Brothers, £9 12/; 20 steers, J. Hutherford, £9 9/; 7 head, A. Stewart, £10 9/6 ; 8 head, Jno Scott, £11 ; 200 sheep, Hugh King, 11/; 100 wethers, J. .O'Neil, H/6 each. MESSRS HUNTBa AND NOLAN'S WEEKLY BEPOBT. We quote : —Dairy cows from £7 10/ to to £13 2/6 ; dry cows, from 77/6 to 95/ ; calves, from 33/ to '42/ ; yearlings, from 50/ to 67/6 ; two-year-old heifers, 80/ to £5 7/6 ; two-year-old steers, from £4 15/ to £5 12/6; grown steers, from £6 to £7 12/6.
