This was a long and tedious case arising out of the sale of certain pigs. Judgment for plaintiff with costs £4: 4s. THR CAMBRIDGE DO G TAX CASE. James McPherson v.' ~W. Clare. , Mr Whitaker appoared for the defence, and Mr Hay for the complainant. Defendant as Chairman of the Cambridge North* Township Highway District Board, was charged with having neglected when applied for to give to the Waikato County Council information as to the gross amount of Dog Tax collected by . the Cambridge Boaffd. - • Several points of law were raised and argued by counsel, and the Court reserved judgment uutil the next sitting day, the 19fch instant. The case was not concluded until eight o'olock last night, and a second and similar information was, m consequence of the lateness of the hour, also adjourned for hearing till the 19 th instant.
