DEARTH OF EMPLOYMENT IN VICTORIA. « FAILURE OF A TIMBER FIRM. SMALL-POX ON BOARD SHIP. MULBOURNE, Saturday. The labor market is in a bad way. The number of unemployed is increasing;, and men are arriving from all parte of the cobny. The Government are commencing numerous works. Money is scarce, and rumours ot failure of a large firm are current. The exports of the vear *\re a million less. Small-pox has bean, found to exist on board the Siani. MELBOURNE, Monday. The Lochard, from Glasgow, U a total wreck near Cape Otway. All perished except two persons. The Blackbird, steamer, from Newcastle, was wrecked on the Ninety Mile Beach. The passengers and crew were saved and landed at Port Albert.
