The division upon the Marquis of Hartington's motion condemning the Government for their action regarding the dispatch of Indian troops to Malta, resulted as follows : For the motion - - 2'20 Agaiust -' - - - 327 Majority for the Government 121 The amendment proposed by Sir Michale Hicks-Beach was then put, and cairied.
