WAIKATO WEST PRESBYTERIAN DISTRICT.
A mebtixq of till. Presbyterians of I Waikato West, was held at Te Awamutu on Saturday, 11th May, and considering the state of the weather, and the distance some had to come, was well attended. Mr Wrio-ht was voted to the chair, and stated that the business of the meeting was to consider the question of building a manse, at Te Awamutu. on the land purchased for that purpose some three or four years ago. After the matter was talked over, and the gentlemen present had expressed their opinion, the following resolutions was proposed seconded, and carried unanimously : — 1. "It is the opinion of this meeting that the Presbyterian body should build.a manse at Te Awamutu." - 2. " That a committee be appointed to canvafa the district for subscriptions, and renprt to a general meeting, to be held at Te Awamutu Hall, on Saturday, Ist June, 1878, at 3 p.m., and that the following gentlemen be a committee " : — j For Alexandra : Messrs Grant and J ) Allan ; for Ohaupo Road and Te Rapu : Messrs Thompson and R. J \ Bell ; for Rangiaohia : Messrs Ram- 1 *
