At the Magistrate's Court, Peter i Fasche, for having gambling-tables on the racecourse, received twelve months' hard labour. The evidence showed that a hollow iv the ceuter table contained a machine which enabled the prisoner to stop the revolving neadle whenever he wished, and thus swindle the public with impunity.
