Waixmto Times Office, Wednesday Evening. MR BTTCKLAND'S MONTHLY STOCK BEPOKT. j At the Ohaupo yards, on- Tuesday, April 9. about the average number of store cattle 1 were yarded— 266 head, m all. They were mostly of coarse quality, but sold at high values. No fat cattle offered. .The. dairy cows advertised were, with the exception of two" or. three good animals, aged arid of ' indiff«rent quality; they brought from £3 to £6 15/. Store calves, £2 1/ ; heifer calves, 35/ to 39/ ; yearlings, 55/ to 66/ ; eighteen-months to two-year-old steers, £3 15/ to £5 10/ ; cows, m low condition, £2 12/6 to*£3 10/ each. Sheep: 1,864 were sold, principally wethers, from Napier, at 8/ each. At the horee sale, held m Cambridge on Sahirday last, there were 87 horses entered for sale. There was a numerous attendance of buyers, and the sale was brisk throughout. 61 were sold at the auction at the following prices : — Staunch heavy draught, £36 10/ to £10; good light harness and medium draught, £18 to £33 ; strong riding horses, £10 to £28, the price varying with the age and soundness ; ponies and light hacks, £4 to £10 each.
