The Budget expenditure is c£81,000,000, leaving- an ordinary deficit of\£soQ,ooo and an extraordinary deficit of £5,300,000, whereof £2,000,000 are left for next year. There will be 2d increase m the income tax, 4il per lb. on touacco, and 2s 6d on the dog tax. Official despatches show that Russia is treating Roumania im, eviously. It refuses to discuss m the Congress the question of Bessarabia. LONDON, April 5. Consols 941. Rates of discount and securities unchanged. Ade laide wheat, 593 to 61s : fiour 40.3 to 445. The wool sales have closed. Out of 230,000 bales catalogued, 37,000 were held over.
