Colling' s -white heifer (by Butterfly, 104 ; 13th d. by Globo. Cambridge is a Bacps-upon-Knightly bull — a breed which is now becoming fashionable m England. His dam, Lady Eleanor, won two prizes at tho West of Eng-laud Exhibition at Taunton, and again at Exeter. His sire, 25 th Baron Wetherby (27,981) was bred at Siddington, m Gloucestershire, of the Siddingfton tribe of pure Butey, bred by Mr Bowie)-. lie was got by the 7th Duke of York — v pure Duchess bull, bred by Colonel Guuter. The pedigree of the sire and clam of the Duke of Cambridge are both m Coates' ( Herd Bjolc/ vol. lU. She was being prepared for exhibition at the lioyal Agricultural Show when purchased for Ifew Zealand. The sire ef tho Duke of IJewcifltle, 9th Colonel Tregunter, is O:it of a Siddinufton cow, bred by Mr Bjwley, of Gloucestershire. He was got by the 2nd Duke of Tregun er, a pure Duchess bull, bred by Colonel Gnnter, aud was the bull selected out of all tho balls m England by Earl B.ective, to place with the four high-price cows purchased by him at the groat sale at the ]^uw York mills.
