! ■ Waikato. Times .Office, Friday Evening. AUCKLAND CATTLE MARKET. A. BUCKLAND'S WfiEltLY HEPOBT. At Remuera, on Thursday, daily cows were more dull of sale than of late. Store cattle, in short supply ; there was a fair demand. Fat cattle, in average number ; 125 head sold to the trade; bidding was brisk, and prices for best quality advanced 1/6 per cwt. Few store sheep yarded- Fat sheep, in moderate numbers only, but dull of sale and with a downward : tendency. Prices given were : Dairy oows, £8 to £10 13/ ; three-year-old steers, £6 to £7 ; fat cattle, 24/ to 28/ the lOOlbs; fa ( t, sheep, j'l\ to JU the lb. Averages were : Robert Beut, 10 head mixed cuttle. .£0 12/6; 25 head, Jos. Gane, £9 9/;' 20 steers, English & Co., £7 17/; 10 Bteers, D. Caley, £7 13/6 ; 7 steers, Andrew Wallace, £7 10/ ; 15 steers, !R. Carruth, £7 10/6 ; 25 head, John 1 Williams, £6 18/6. ;. Fat besists in ample supply ; the drafts from the Waikato consisted chiefly of stock which had hot attained sufficient age; prices had st downward tendency, and more particularly for indifferently-fatted aniuiajs. Dairy cows, from '£8 to£l3> ; weaned wjlves and 3-earling.s, from 35/ to 63/ ; one-aud-a-half : and two-yeai'-olds, 67/(5 to 97/6; 4hree-year-old, from £5, 7/6 'to £6 ; store cows, from 60/ to £5 15/ each. -Sheep were in ai»£>]e supply and steady demand. We quote; Fat wethers, 15/ to 18/ ; mixed sheep, 13/ to 16/ ; fat. lambs, iu wool, from 9/ to 11/6; lambs, shorn, 7/0 ; store ewes, 9/ to 12/.
