Waikato Times Office, Friday Evening. AUCKLAND MARKETS. MB A. BTJCKLAWD’s EEPOHT. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cows, at calving, in demand —medium cows bringing £8 10/ to £l2 5/ each. Store cattle were in larger supply than usual, and in steady demand; well-bred two-year-old steers averaged £6 6/ ; yearling calves, £3 5/; and for inferior-bred cattle there was a good sale. Fat cattle were in full supply, averaging 26/ the lOOlbs. The sheep market was fairly supplied with stores, which were at less value than for the past two weeks. Fat sheep: /2 for ewes and /2J for wethers were the prices realised. —Averages obtained were: 29 steers, E. Houratri. £lO 2/6; 4 steers, Grribble,-£9 ;10 steers, John Fisher, £8 of; 15 steers, W. Scott, £9 ; 10 steers, George Reid, £7 4/; 24 steers, J. Barr Brown, £7 4/ ;23 steers, Hugh Knox, £lO 10 head, John Smith, £7 7/6; 10 head, T. Parkinson, £7, respectively. MESSES HUNTEE AND NOLAN’S EBPOET. There has been an average supply of cattle, and prices were sustAined for all descriptions, with the exception of dairy cows, which advanced in price considerably. Ihe supply of store stock, at Newmarket, on Tuesday, was not large, but fat beasts were in adequate numbers, and advanced in value. We quote:—Daily cows, at profit, £9 to £l2 7/6; weaned calves, £1 10/ to £2 5/; yearlings, from £2 15/ to £3 5/; two and three-year-old steers, from £4 10/ to £6 7/6 ; beef, 28/ per lOOlbs. Sheep were in average supply and spirited demand, and prices had an upward tendency. Fat wethers sold from 14/6 to 20/ each; ewes, 13/ to 17/6; lambs, in wool, 8/ to 19/6 each; shorn, from 6/ to 8/6.
