AUCKLAND CATTLE MARKET.
A. BUCKLAND'S WEEKLY REPORT. At the Cambridge horse sale, held on Saturday last, there was a number of useful animals brought forward and sold at fair values. Several medium draught unbroken colts and fillies were offered at the auction, but, with the exception of two, were withdrawn for higher values. A pair of heavy draught geldings, 5 years old, were sold at £35 each; medium draught horses, from £10. 10/ to £25 15/ —the price varying with the age. Strong hacks, £8 to £12. Weeds, £3 10/ to £7 16/. pattle: At Ohaupo, on Tuesday, March 12, above the average number of cattle were yarded, and were sold at the auction at late values. 417 bead were passed through the yards, and 384 head were sold under the hammer at the following- prices: Weaned calves, 37/ to 42/; yearlings, 75/ to 80/; two-year-old steers, £4 15/ to £5 7/6 ; three-year-old steers, m forward condition, £6 to £7 7/6; cows, £3 12/6 to £4; heifers, m good condition, £4 5/ to £4 15/; fat cattle, about 26/ the lOOlbs. Wether lambs, 8/6 each; half-bred full-mouthed ewes, 4/ to 7/6 each.
