At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle, at calving, were m less number than usual. They were m free enquiry. Good cows at £10 ; heifers, £5 5/ to £9.— Store cattle, m larger than usual number ; late prices sustained. Yearlings, £2 17/6 to £3 10/ ; eighteen-month-olds, £3 15/; two-year-olds, £4 10/ ; dry cows, £3 15/ to £4 2/6 ; three-year-old steers, £5 10/ to £6 10/.— Fat cattle, m full supply. 144 head sold to the trade. Prices higher than last week, and ranged between 26/ and 28/ the lOOlbs. — Store sheep, numerous ; they were m better enquiry. Eat sheep and lambs m short supply, but at late values IQ to /2£ the lb. Lambs, 7/ to 13/6 each. — Pigs, m moderate numbers ; free enquiry. — Averages given were : 17 oxen, Stewart Bates, £11 7/6; 20 head, Robert Hunt, £9 17/6 ; 16 steers, John Wallace, £9 13/; 25 head, Roger Kay, £9- 32 head, J. Bosanco, £8 10/ ; 24 head, Hugh Knox, £7 IS/; 250 wethers, Richard Kelly, 17/ each.

HUNTER AND NOLANS WEEKLY EEPOET. Horses.— Activity has characterised the market, und above an average number changed hands. We quote : Hacks, £7 5/ to £13 10/; light harness horses, from £10 15/ to £23 ; light draught colts, £20 to £25. .

(Jactle. — There was a marked improvement m this week's demand, and the supply has been good, with the exception of stores, which, at Newmarket, on Tuesday, were but poorly represented. Dairy cows were m fair supply, and were well competed for, if of a tolerably good description. There was a marked improvement m fat beasts. A draft of Mr Joseph Clarke's elicited the keenest competition, and the top price was given. At Papakura, on Wednesday, a larger number of cattle (174 head) were yarded than has previously been the case at our ordinary monthly sale.
