OPINIONS OF THE LONDON PRESS. STATEMENT BY LORD DERBY. [reuter's special cablegrams.] London, February 26. A large meeting m favour of peace, held iv Hyde Park, was scattered by an immense Conservative demonstration. The London papers consider the Russian' peace conditions excessive, aud such as will imperil bhe maintenance of European peace. Earl Derby, replying to a question m the House ol Lords, said the Government had received no information concerning the peace conditions. Tie remarked if the Egyptian tribute to the Porte were demanded, it would require sei-io a consideration.
