The House of Commons have agreed to the grant asked by the Government for the £6,000,000, Supplementary War Estimates. Sir .Stafford Northcote stated m his place m Parliament, that the Government were apprehensive ot possible trouble at Constantinople m consequence of the terms of the armistice which itad been signed: They have ordered a portion of the Mediteranoean squadron to be sent thither for the protection of the British residents m the Turkish capital.
