PROCLAIMING HAMILTON A BOROUGH UNDER "THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS ACT, 1876."

A PROCLAMATION. (From the N. Z Gazette, Dec. 27,) Whereas by section seventeen of *' The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," the Governor is empowered, by Proclamation, to declare any district in New Zealand to be a borough under the said Act from and after a day to be named in such Proclamation ; Now, therefore I, George Anguat us Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursusance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Districts of Hamilton East and West shall be and the same are hereby constituted, as from the twenty-fitth day of December, one thousand eight buudr d and seventy*seven, a borough under the said Act; and that the name of such borough shall be the Borough of Hamilton, and the boundaries of such borough shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
