HoKiiiKA, Thursday. Two thousand persons were on the race-course yesterday. Luuns and Cassidy's horses, fr.»ui Chris-church, won all tbe events. To-day's races have been pos ponei owing t. heavy rain. A large number of miners are iv the town from the ou(-districts, and J it is said that about 10,00 ozs of gold were sold m the distrct duriug hi- past week. The banks are very ousy and the hotels are crowded.
