Tae names of some fifty gentlemen, contributors to the fund were then rend to the meeting and additional g ibscr ptious were received. A commiiteo was thereupon appoined for the purpose of carrying out the object of the meeting viz. to acquire and render fit for habits io ■ a residence at Te Awamatu for Doctor Blun.ipn, Mr Winston^ was a pointer! Hon. Treasurer. The account to be opened with the Bank of New Zealand. It was resolved * that Mi- Farrel! be and he hereby is appointed to canvas for and collect contributions to the fund. 'That public notices be issued calling for tenders for repairs and improvements to the premises s«U ct id.' All such tenders to be sent to the Hon. Treasurer by noon on Thursday next. ' That the Hou. Treasurer be requested to wri c to Doctor Blunden informing him of the amount already collected, and of the resolutions passed, and to request a reply f'-om him that he would be willing to take up hU resirfenue and commence practise at le Awamutu ou Ist Janaary.* !
