third ami fourth are us follows : — Tn the interpellation of the Act the following words aud expressions .shall have the meanings hereby assigned tv them unless there is sometiling m the context repugnant thereto : — " Land District " has the swoe meaning as i* given to that expression m the W.iste Linds Administration Act, 1876. From and after the coming* into operation of this Act, and until farther provision is made for thr; classification, oi waste lands, laud stiall be sold m accordance with the law m force m the land distric where such land is situated, but no m any case at a less price than two pounds per acre, if by free selection, aud where, m any land disfcrico, waste lands are sold or dispose 1 of by pubUc auction, an upset price ol not less than one pound per acre. Provided that the section shall no apply to waste lands Sold or. disposed of on deferred or other periodical payments or by aqfricuit'iral leases.
