SUMMELI MEETING. The following; handicaps for two of the events of the ensuing Auckland Racing Club Summer meeting was declared at 8 o'clock on Friday evening:-- ' ! Tab Auckland Cup (Handicap) of 200sovs> with a sweepstakes of 10 sovs each horse added ; second horse to receive 20sovs, and third horse to save his stakes. Distance, 2£ miles. ; Entrance, 2sovs, and acceptance 3aovs to , the funds. . Nominations with 2?ova enclosed to be'made to the secretary, at the office of the Club, Shortlaud-street, by 8 p.m. on Friday, October 26. Weights to be declared by Friday, NTovem. 16. Acceptances, with 3iovs, to be made to the secretary hy 8 ptn on Friday, November 30. The winner of any handicap race of the value of 200sovs after the decoration of the weights to carry 7lbs extra j of the value of 100s )vs, 51bs extroj of two or more such races, 7ibs extra (extra penalty).
Handicap Steeplechase of 150sovs with a sweepstake of ssovs each ; amount accruing from sweepstakes to go to second horse. Nomination 3aovs 3sovs to. the funds.
