A meeting; of, the inhabitants 'of Hamilton-East, called by a bell, was : neld last night; in the\Towh Hail, to protest against" the sale 6T that,' building by the District'-Town Board. ; Mr . W.- Gumming occupied [ the chair. ' ' • The following resolutions were passed unanimously :—<- ; . Ist.
