By Scud, daoi Termagant (own Bister to Glendon), by Cap-?-Fie, Grisalda by Dover, Gertrude by Trumpet, Send by Riddlewirth, Sprey by Donizetti, Lady Ann by Whisker. Spray is the dam of Wetsail, Stormbird, Bell of the Isles (dam of Templeton) and other good performers. Scud i« by Riddle worth, sire of Dainty Ariel, and very many other good horses. Knottingley as a racehorse won all his engagements as a three-year old at Timaru (including Timaru Cup), Oamnru and Dunedin ; and won in the following years the Canterbury Cup twice, and Christchurch Plate twice, besidis mauy o her racts, b»ating the best racehorses of the day.
