High farming — will it pay ? has lately formed the subject of discussion at the Cambridge farmers Club, and m the columns of this journal. The great authority on high farming at home is Mr Mechi, and his farm at Tip Tree Hill is the experimenium cruris of the system, ' that to which its advocates appeal. Here then is the balance sheet Of the Tip Tree Farm account for 1876 as we find it m the Farmers Magazine, for May last. We scarcely think that such a return for su^li an i outlay and so large an amount of risk, would satisfy a New Zealand Settler:— TIPTREE FARM ACCOUNT. BALANCE-SHEET, 1876. PAID.
