Dancing it* Good Templar Lodge Booms. — A discussion appears" to have arisen m various New Zealand papers as to whether it is lawful for the Good Tern lars to countenance dancing. Section 3, Article XVI., Grand Lodge bye laws, which has been appioved by each of the three sessions of tne Grand Lodge of New Zealand South, which was quoted by one member of the order m pointing out its illegality, should set the question at re.t. It reads as follows :— ' Any Lodge which Shall, direotly or indirectly, nse, or allow to be used, for a social party, where dancing is a part of the entertainment, their Lodge name, or the n.ime 'Good Templar,' m the advertising suoh a party, or whioh shall let for dancing, or allow dancing m its Lodge room upon tbe night of meeting, shall forfeit its charter ; and on proof of any G; W.C.T., it Bball be his duty to demand their oharter.'
