Waikato Times Office, Friday evening. ALFRED BUCKLAND REPORfS. At the Hny market, on August 24th, Hor^e stock were m usual "feapply, but more dull of sale than for the past few weeks. Medium draught sold for £30 and £32 ; light harness, £9 to 16 ; riding horses, £5 to £16 each ; a bu^gy, £26. Hided were m less than ÜBual numbers, and dull of sale, being generally of inferior quality. Prices ranged from 3 id to 3|d the. lb. Skins m average supply, with a steady inquiry at lull prices. Dry skins brought from 2s Gd to 4n ; frvsh skin*, 4s 3d to 6s 3d each. At Kemuera on 30ih August, dairy cows were of inferior quality, and brought from £5 to £7. Store cattle m short supply, and at high va ues. Fat cattle, of good quality, and less than average sur.ply ; 106 head ynrded. Prices advanced on last .week's values about 2s 61 the lOOlbs ; 40s the lOOlbs nras the current price for best quality. Fat sheep m usual number, but many of indifferent quality ; 500 sold. Prices a <vanced considerably ; 41 the lb was obtained for all of good quality. Not many pigs yarded. Averages were — 22 steers, R Kelly, £15 6a 6d ; 7 steers, W I Taylor. £13 12s 6J ; 27 steers, R Bent, £12 18 61 ; 18 steers, J B Brawn, £11 2s 6d ; 99 wethers, H Maokay, 21s ; 158, E 3 Walker, 18s 61 ; 174, R Taylor, 15s 9d.
