Th.re \«ere two petitions brought before the Town Board on Wednesday < last, one to prohibit the depasturing of cattle, the other requesting that the cattle might be allowe.l to depasture us formerly. The meeting is adjourned till the mouth of October, by that time all tbe feed wili be eaten up. Mr Editor, will .you please to raise your voioe against this oattle plague? I am ia bu«iueßS v and am a bachelor, keeping a horse on the run, for a run out on, a Sunday ; it takes mo the most part of the day to catch him, if .the'cattle were-prohibited from depasturing in the township, our horses con Id get plenty of feed, and we could catch tham easily for our Sunday's ride. Brides, the natives have no place to put their horses, when they come in for goods. It is said heie, that cows are useful. In cases when the niother is dick, the father can get a drop of warm milk for bis child, during the mothers ilmess.
