He would act as Chairman but as he bad no wish to be thg' übHi>"Uian---in faot, could not spare the time, he should. only po m as such if the Board was worked as other Boards were, with a clerk and treasurer appointed, as he did not believe m one man doing all the work ; m fact, it placed too mnoli power m one person's hands and the consequence was the other trustees knew nothing of the working of the Board. It was decided to hold a meeting of the ratepayers to elect another trustee on Saturday next, inihe new schoolbouse at 3 p m. 3 , The Government have sent notice to the ' Board that they intend to pay the snbsidy to the Te Fori Ferry as usual out of the Counties Fund.
