At Drury on Wednesday, there was a large muster of cattle, and a numerous attendance, including several buyers from the Waikato. Bidding was brisk throughout. Caroas beef amimala sold fieely, whilst well-bred stock — particularly yearliDg steers — sold at extreme values. Dairy cows were at first dull of sale, but improved m price as the auction proceeded j prices were for quiet cows near oalviug, £« 10* to £10 ; dry well-bred, cows, £5 5s to £7 16s; inferior, £4 j two-year-old, steers, well, bred/ £6 5s j coarse-bred, £4 to £5 ss; wel -bred steers, from 12 to 18 mouths old, £3 15a to £5 5s ; heifers, £3 10d to £4 5j ; fat cattle, 303 the 1001 ba. At Remuera on Tuesday dairy cows were m limited numbers, aud fair inquiry at late prices. Store cattle m larger than average supply, with a good inquiry at yesterday's values. Fat cuttle ia full supply, 113 head yarded ; prices showed an-advance ou last week, and brought from 32s to 37s the lOOlbs, averaging 34*. The Augora goats brought 23s each: A full market of sheep lowered last weeks price's fully one farthing the lb; half-bred ewes and lamb 3 brought 14s ; store wethers, lls 6d; fut weathers 13s 6d to 23b each, or about 3d per ft Pigs of all clases were m full supply, and not so brisk of sale as the past fortnight. Averages obtained were: 15 head, Robert Hall, £10 4s ; R Taylor, 18 head, £8 9s j W J Taylor, 9 oxen, £13 ss; A A Fantham, 21 steers, £10 ss; R Kelby, 42 heed oxen, £14 10a; Davidson Paton, 79 wethers, 12s j R Kelly, 91 sheep, 19s 6d ; Kelly 570 wethers, 14s MMr Kennedy Hill reports large attendance and brisk bidding at the Bale of stock and furnicure at Eskdale.
