POLICE COURT
Hamilton, at/ghtst 14. (Before Colonel Lyon, J.P.) Q-eorge Looney, on remand from the previous day, was charged by Constable Murray with being found at 1 a.m on Sunday morning in Captain Dawson's hay loft. The prisoner pleaded guilty, and beeged that he muht have a chanae, and if he did, he would go to work. Sergeant McGtovern stated that the prisoner had been loitering about the Royal Hotel for the last six weeks, and had do money to pay for his board and lodging, and that there could hardly be any excuse for a strong able young man like the prisoner, as there waa no iifficulfcy in finding employ nenl in Waikato if tho prisoner chose to work. In reply to the Court, the prisoner declared he would, .if allowed, go to the Piako and commence work at onco. He was discharged with a caufciou.
