POLICE COURT.
Hamilton, auqcst 10. . (Before Colonel Lire.X, J.P.) Ellen Lydia Ward was charged wibh cutting and woandiug her huabaud, William Ward, with a pruning knife, at -Camahere. Sergeant McG-overn applied for a remand for eight days. He stated that Wavd was unable to attend at present, nob from the alleged injuries he had received, bat from the effaces of alcoholic liquors. Ward and the prisoner had been drinking for the past three weake, aud botb. were m the horrors. A remand was granted uutil 18th inst.
