THURSDAY, AUGUST 2. 1877-
THAMES WAIMATO RAILWAY, Both Cambridge and Hamilton are seconding the efFor.ts of the Thames River Valley Committee at Grahamstown, in petitioning the Assembly to undertake the construction of a railway line to connect Grahamsfcown with Waikato. We would earnestly impress on | every Highway Board in this district the desirability of preparing a similar petition and obtaining signatures to ifc, «jnd of setting forth the advisability of. at once commencing the construction of such work and from the Waikato end of the line , for if only such railways were completed between the Waikato and^the Thames rivers, tit Omaha , on the latter, steam communication between the. whole of the Waikato and Grahamstown would be completed, just as now, with rail and river steam traffic combined, Auckland aud Waikato are linked 'together.
