[Press Agency.] f London, July 21. OCCUPATION OF GALLIPOLI BY BRITISH TROOPS. v ' THE RUSSIANS DEFEATED WITH HEAVY- LOSS. PANIC Al 1 CONST ATINOPLE. The following- telegram was received late on Tuesday nighfc, and published m an extra yesterday: London, July 21. " Three English troopships are ordered to be ready by Wednesday (to-day.) ' It is reported that the English Government intend to dispatch troops to G-allipoli, m Turkey. The Russians have been defeated with heavy loss at Plevna, south of Nicopolis. There is a panic at Adrianoplu and Consbanople, o.wing to the ciossing of the Balkans by the Russians. The Turkish commander in-chief is deposed, and active preparations are being- made for defeuce at Adrianople.'
