Waikato Times Office, Friday evening. ALFRED BUCKLAND'S WEEKLY REPORT. At the Haymarket, on Friday, but little fodder was brought forward. There was no alteration in value. Damaged oats brought 3. 6d to 3. 91 ; maize, 4s to 4a 3d per buahel j liuseod, B_d per lb. Horse slock wore offered iu less than usual number, and, with the exception of medium draught or light harness mare., dull of sale. Middle aged' heavy draught brought from £25 to £32; light harness, £13 to £35 ; riding horses, from £8 to £13 each. Hides and skins were aiso iu short supply, but steady inquiry, and for hides a further advance avqs obtained, 4f d . per lb being given for one parcel. Prioes ranged from 4_d to 4f d. Sheepskins, 2s 6d to 4s each. ' At Drury, on Wednesday, there were less than the usual muster of cattle yarded, and those were mostly female stock of a middling class. There was a numerous attendance of buyers, and satisfactory prices obtained throughout — 150 | head sold. At,Remuera on Thursday many dairy oo ws of a medium class, near calving, were yarded ; they were dull of sale. A few dry cows and pens of three-year-old sceeis were sold; they were in demand at slightly higher values. No other description of store cattle offered. Fat oattle were in average number j 140 head yarded, bub many of these were in infeiior condition, and purchased by the grazier. Those of good quali y maintained last week's values. Sheep were penned in greater numbers than for several weeks, Store sheep were at lower values ; ewes in lamb, of a good class, brought from 83 6d to lis, prioes depending more, upon condition than quality of breeding ; fat ewes, lis to 14s j inferior wethers, 12s to 16a; best, 18s to 22s each. Pigs in moderate number, and better inquiry than of late. Fat cattle brought from 23s to 28s the lOOlbs. Fat wethers, 3d and 3id;eweß, 2id to 3d the lb. Averages were : 27 head mixed cattle, R Taylor, £8 13s 6d ; 1C head, McLean and Co, £10 ; 42 hea -., John Short and Co, £6 lfis ; 36 bead, Charles Storey, £7 14a 6d ; J3 head, A Ramsay, £6 175 ; 354 wethers, R Kelly, 18. ; 124 wethers, 1_ B Wulker, 19. Bd.
