Plurnley, the well-known farmer of Otahuhu, was mounting his cart near Scarrott's on the Great South Road, when the horse started and threw him on tlie back of his head, causing* concussion of the spine. He lingered till this morning and. died. John Edward Dixon, carter for Craig, collided with an omnibus on the Unehunga road, and was thrown out of the cart, and also suffered concussion of the spine. He lies in a precarious state.
